My last week in Panama

June 3rd to 10th was our last week of project before debrief. The staff stayed in Panama city while we students stepped out in faith and up in leadership to reach villages all across Panama. I was chosen to co-lead one of the 3 teams heading to the different cities. My team got sent to a city called Santiago. For the first two days we were at the university of Panama campus in santiago (a satilite campus to the one we were on in Panama city) We worked with the staff there doing evangelism and a talk to share the vision of Campus for Christ with sudent leaders on that campus. We saw 14 students accept Christ in 2 days!!
From Wednesday to Sunday we went to various smaller villages to show the Jesus Film. I have many many amazing stories of how God used us in Santiago, often dispite our doubts. God held off rain, kept us safe from the many crazy stray dogs, provided locations for us to show the film, fixed many technical problems, brought out hundreds of people to see the film and brought 197 men, women and children into His kingdom...all in 5 days!
After one amazing week of seeing God work in amazing ways the teams gathered together again for debrief in Playa Blanca, an beautiful resort, where we caught up on rest, relaxed in the sun, praised God for all He had done in Panama, and made plans to continue being used by and getting to know God when we headed back home.
God definately stretched my faith in these past few weeks. It was amazing to see how faithful God is and the things He could do, even when I was doubting they could happen. Over our time in Panama we saw almost 500 people give their lives to Christ...thats almost 500 more brothers and sisters adopted into the family and who we will one day see again when we join God in heaven. Praise God! Not only that, but we were able to build into the movement in Panama and give them the resources to continue strong for Christ and continue to change Panama even after we are gone. That's truly amazing to me! Thanks to everyone who made this trip possible...I couldn't have done it without your prayers and support. I thank God for each and every one of you who helped me follow in Christ's footsteps in telling the world of His amazing love and gift of salvation. However, through your prayers and financial gifts, you all played just as big a role as I did in accomplishing God's work this summer, please remember that. Thanks again!
xoxo

My girlfriend is Emily Ferrier too! Except she don't like Yahweh as much as you do.
